Our Pre-Competitive Team is designed for beginner and novice dancers who are ready to take the next step in their dance training and be introduced to the competitive dance world in a positive, supportive, and age-appropriate way.
This team gives dancers the opportunity to experience a more focused and structured training environment while continuing to build confidence, technique, performance quality, teamwork, and a strong love for dance. Dancers will learn what it means to be part of a team, commit to their classes and rehearsals, and work toward shared goals throughout the season.
Placement on the Pre-Competitive Team is by audition or teacher recommendation. Interested dancers may be asked to participate in an audition or evaluation so our staff can determine if the program is the right fit for their current level, readiness, and goals.
Our Pre-Competitive dancers may have the opportunity to perform and compete at select local or regional competitions during the season. This program is meant to introduce dancers and families to the competition experience while keeping the focus on growth, encouragement, responsibility, and joy.
We are proud to offer this program as a stepping stone for dancers who may wish to continue into our Company program in the future. Our teachers look forward to helping each dancer grow, gain confidence, and enjoy a rewarding year as part of the Studio D Pre-Competitive Team.
