State of Connecticut’s COVID-19 Guidelines

  Studio D’s Safety/Travel Protocols: We kindly ask that if you and your family are traveling out of state for spring break (or any other time) to please provide a negative Covid test upon return or quarantine for 2 weeks (and join us via zoom!) before returning to class in person.


  1. All dancers should have their temperature taken at home before entering our Studio. Temperature should not exceed 100 degrees. A thermometer is also available at the Studio. Please note that if anyone has traveled out of state and/or has been exposed to COVID, they must be isolated for two weeks before entering our Studio. 
  2. Students will be asked to use hand sanitizer upon arrival and be dressed to dance.  No changing of clothes in the lobby or bathroom before or after class is permitted.
  3. Parents are asked to drop off their dancer and pick them up without entering the Studio.  Parents of younger students can certainly remain outside, or close by, if their young dancer needs to use the restroom. Parents would then need to sanitize their hands, sanitizer will be located in the front lobby, wear a face mask upon entering the Studio, and then sanitize again, upon leaving the Studio. Unfortunately, no parents are welcomed in the Lobby due to social distancing and the size of our Lobby.
  4. Each student is asked to bring their own bottle(s) or container of water. No water will be provided by the Studio.
  5. After bathroom use, dancers must use soap and warm water for hand washing for at least 20 seconds. The restroom will be sanitized after each class. 
  6. After each class, the front door, the door handles of the dance room and restroom, light switches and ballet barre will again be sanitized.  (Or any areas that are commonly touched) The bench in the lobby will be sanitized after each class and the window seat sprayed with Lysol. Due to our sanitation process, our classes will conclude 5 minutes earlier to ensure proper sanitation before the next class begins. All students are requested to remain outside and enter when the previous class leaves and proper sanitization concludes. 
  7. Dancers will be asked to sanitize their hands upon leaving.  
  8. Proper distancing will be in place while dancers are in the dance room. Class sizes will be limited to accommodate this guideline. Facial masks will be worn by each dance teacher and dancers are asked to bring a mask to each class, should the energies be great in each class and warrant this. 
  9. A COVID-19 Disclosure Form will need to be signed by each parent who has a dancer physically dancing in the Studio.  This Disclosure can be found on the Studio’s website along with the Registration Form and both the Disclosure Form and Registration Form can be either mailed before the start of class (mail to 102 Gay Bower Road, Monroe, 06468) or brought to the first class. Please be sure that communication goes out to Miss Dona that a dancer will be taking a particular class, so she has enough students to be sure the class can run.
